Chausey is a French archipelago off the coast of Normandy, approx 45 minute rib ride from Jersey. It lies 10 miles from Granville. This little paradise will take your breath away with its beautiful sandy beaches, islets, rocks and crystal clear sea. Enjoy exploring by foot, discover the lighthouse and the fishing village.   • Chausey is the biggest archipelago in Europe

  •  65 islets at low tide and 52 at high tide

  • The archipelago is a paradise for marine animals: fish, shellfish, crustaceans, birds, but also dolphins and seals. Pollution is unknown here, the tide washes the beaches and rocks twice a day and most of the islands are considered a nature reserve.

  • Pay a  visit to the old castle built in 1559 and the Fort Vauban built in 1866 where now fishermen live and the lighthouse built in 1847.

  • There are no cars or bikes on the main island, only one tractor and the hotel electric car.

  • There are 3 sandy beach: Port-Marie, Port-Homard, la Grand-Grève

  • One and only walk around the main island.
